The roots of Thumbfest began in the 1990’s with a small, dedicated group of people who wanted to connect people with music. George Stewart, the widely accepted father of Thumbfest, and subsequently, the BWFS, felt compelled to connect the music he loved with people who craved it. BWFS became a 501(c)3, and the music continued to grow.
