Membership
The Blue Water Folk Society is a non-profit organization, 'Promoting Traditional and Acoustic Music' in Michigan's Thumb area.
Membership is $10 per year and provides base funding for activities we sponsor during the year.
Becoming a member not only provides support for our activities but, allows you to be a part of the Blue Water Folk Society.
It gives you the opportunity to vote for the Board of Directors during the annual General Membership meeting held during the month June
and a voice in the direction and activities of the Blue Water Folk Society.
Becoming a member will also give you an opportunity to easily become involved with various activities which
include Coffeehouses, Concerts, 'Thumbfest' music festival and an annual membership gathering.
Membership dues are valid from May 15th of the year paid until May 15th of the following year.
Dues are payable anytime during the year, but for you to be able to vote at the elections at the General Membership meeting in June, you need to pay your dues by May 15.
If you choose, you can also use this opportunity to make a donation to the Blue Water Folk Society.
Please be sure to indicate what portion of your check is for dues and what amount is for your donation.
Once you have paid your dues, we will send you a membership card.
If you have also decided to make a donation, you will be sent a receipt for your donation.
Joining is simple, just fill out the simple Membership Form, click on the 'submit' button, and the form will be printed out for you to mail in and the information will be emailed to our membership director.
